Many people picture balance as a scale with two equal pans: eight hours for work and eight for life. In truth, weeks are not alike — some need more work, others need more home.
The more useful question is not “Am I balanced?” but “What is the one thing I would regret neglecting this week?”. Write it down, and put it in your calendar before any meeting.
Then review last week honestly: where did the time actually go? You will usually find hours that leaked into small tasks that did not need you. Those hours are your real budget for rearranging.
Balance is a weekly habit, not a single decision. Start with one small step, and review it every Friday.
